 Lagos State Government Rewards Private Partners on Education

Lagos State Government will not relent in providing more to improve education sector, this statement was disclosed during a Breakfast meeting with the Private Partners who have been supporting the state public school held at the Event Centre, CBD, Alausa, Ikeja.
According to His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), child Education has been a focal part of our interventions over the years because of the truism that Education is correct equalizer in today’s world development.
Governor Fashola stressed that his administration would continue to pay more attention towards the improvement on the quality of public education system which he believes has deteriorated to an extent that employers don’t have confidence in the locally produced graduates.
He added that Nigerian education sector seriously requires private sector involving. The onus is on us all, to protect our children’s future by providing the interval needed now, he stressed.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye in her welcome speech expressed appreciation to these partners whom she says have been contributing to improvement of the education sector for the upliftment of the future leaders.
She disclosed also that, pupils in Primary six will hence forth undergo screening test before getting admission into J.S.S 1 and the State will not be responsible for the payment of the exams fees for students that cannot score up to 80 per cent in class attendant.
